Each year has the same number of months in it, (with simple adjustments). It would be silly to deny this. But no one knows if the day will be sunny or wet. No one can predict if there is going to be all-around wealth or hunger.

It has been a while since I visited this blog and even though it seems to be looking awkward and un-pretty, there is a certain charm which keeps it going. I did what only seemed to be a temporary situation and the thing stuck, the name, the condition, the situation. Everything turned permanent and I really have no excuse at all. I should make the best of this stay in Cagayan de Oro City and see good things and not bad.

There have been a number of good things that have happened. Why am I feeling like an underdog in this world where I should be otherwise? Cagayan de Oro City has been good but not good enough to allow me to bring my family here. It would be nice if I could somehow find the wherewithal to accomplish my goals.

There must be something that I can do to make the changes that I need to make. It must all be within reach and I should be able to discover what it is.

Conflict management

Conflicts originate in the mind. Everything springs from the mind. It has been said that before anything is created, it first begins as thought. This bears examination and one should examine one's thoughts and find out where they come from and evaluate the action to be undertaken because of those thoughts. Many times the reason for those thoughts arising in the first place is so obscure, so hidden deep in the psyche that they seem to have come from somewhere outside of ourselves. In reality, they are just things that have not been resolved and are now demanding resolution. When these hidden thought energies are exposed to the light of consciousness they would tend to fade away. Dreaming is one way of processing these thought energies and is beneficial in trying to notify the conscious mind of something important.

This page is garbled

There is something wrong with this page and it does not show clearly at all. In fact, it could be said that this page is annoying. I know I do get annoyed sometimes when I try to scan through it. This is not so important and the content is not really that urgent.

Still and all, it would be nice to have it display correctly. I wonder what I did wrong to cause this snafu?

Something is wrong

Something is wrong with this page and I do not know what it is. It does not display right, the colors are all wrong. There must be something wrong with the css and the divs and the classes. I just do not know. I hate to change it because I would lose heaven knows what if I do. So this will have to remain as it is until I do something about it. Humans will have a hard time reading it. Robots might not be bothered by it but it sure looks ugly.I will have to try and make sense of why it is the way it is and if I cannot make heads or tails of it I might just change it after all.

I tried to edit the template but I could not see where the error might be and all I got for my efforts was tired eyes. Maybe I will gain some lessons from all of this so I am not too stressed. There is always something good in the midst of chaos and confusion and I certainly am confused right now. Chaos, I do not care too much about. Last night, I called my brother and nothing came of it. He must think that I am crazy or deluded or crappy. As usual. I should learn that nothing will ever change if all I do is keep offering what seems to him to be mirages. Can I help it if my dreams are like un-reality?

The Underdog likes it where he is

The world of the underdog is not really a world less worthy. There is dignity in being the underdog and a great function is performed by those less heroic and more submissive. There would be a terribel fight always if everyone were all aggressive and domineering. Hail he underdog. He is a true hero and not the underdog that everyone thinks.

A person can be an underdog in other people's minds and he can act like a true underdog in situations when there are alpha dogs but he is sure to take his place when the overlord falls in battle. What a world. Underdogs abound. An Underdogs World teeming with underdogs. More underdogs than anyone could care to count not that it would be any kind of fun counting underdogs. It is not easy being an underdog when there are other stronger dogs above you who have the choicest meats and the most willing females to help them spread their genes.

The Philippines had a strong overlord in Marcos and he ruled with an iron fist. His iron fist is all rusted away now but other dogs are fighting over who would take over as the Overdog. A dog in a dog's world. Dogs are fierce creatures much like cats are. It is a good thing that dogs and cats do not have large brains or they would surely take over the world.

Underdog

Everyone would rather fancy himself an overlord than an underdog. There is something attractive about being an overlord instead of an underdog which is not really all that difficult to justify. We all like being on top of the world with our wishes being the commands of lesser mortals. This is all a joke of course, as life plays favorites but not for always. Everyone succumbs to disease and death. Who knows what happens after death. Is there a Judgement? Where we are weighed and sentenced to an uncertain fate?

One thing about being an underdog is that one does not have to be an underdog in his own mind. One can imagine oneself as Lord of all He Surveys. He could stake a claim on the stars and be lord of all the stars he can see. Or he can just let loose his imagination and always get the girl in every episode that plays in his mind.

It might seem as if there is little or no growth at all in the Underdogs World. Well, that may be true in some respects but can anyone really stop growth from happening? There is a natural march towards merging with the environment but that happens when there is no more energy fueling the movement of any organism whether it be natural or man-made. The Underdogs World is a man-made entity and as such its very existence and continued growth is very much dependent on its creator.

As long as the creator of the Underdogs World still feels the urge to keep on breathing in this blessed world, there will be growth and moving forward in the Underdogs World.

Signing up for a Blog account, i am asked for a screen name, something that will be displayed. I instinctively type "underdog", something which was just automatic, without forethought or much consideration. I guess I identify with the underdog after all and that I live in the underdogs world. This world might be deemed self-deprecating and negative, well it might be so but the underdogs world is a comfortable world and it suits me fine. We can't all be champions or contenders. Some of us spend a lot of time being underdogs and working hard to improve and finally to beat the odds and be winners.

So, maybe the underdogs world is nothing more than a place where one learns and grows, to bide one's time while getting ready for greater things, perhaps. Maybe the underdogs world is the chrysalis or cocoon where a caterpillar sleeps and all the while developing and metamorphosing until that final moment when it breaks free and becomes a radiant creature to live its day in the sun.
